What the West of England mayor does

Leads the West of England Combined Authority. Works with Bristol, South Gloucestershire, and Bath & North East Somerset councils.

Has strategic responsibility for transport, housing, planning, adult skills, inward investment and economic development.

Poor leadership by the Labour mayor led to the government imposing special sanctions - this means the region missed out on vital funding and extra powers for improving transport and housing.
The Greens are best placed to beat Labour. Vote Mary for mayor to get fresh, sustainable leadership that brings our people and region together.
